The Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic) ("RTA") sets out the rights and duties of:
- residential tenants and landlords;
- caravan park residents and caravan park owners; and
- rooming house residents and rooming house owners.
The material in this chapter focuses on the provisions relating to tenants and landlords. The righs and obligations of rooming house and caravan park residents differ to those of tenants.
This chapter states the law as of 30 June 2011.
