For reasons of security, the addresses of women’s refuges are not available. Safe Steps provides a central referral service for women in need of crisis accommodation, statewide. It also provides advice, counselling, support groups and information.

There are family violence liaison officers at each 24 hour police station. There is also the Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT)
